GENERAL RULES & SAFETY INFORMATION

Team members must be within sight of each other at all times and complete the entire race together.

Teams must be self-sufficient. No outside help is allowed.

Be considerate to other teams, volunteers, and race personnel. Teams are encouraged to help each other during the race.

Non-racers have the right of way on the trails.

Do not litter.

In an emergency, get to the nearest radio checkpoint (designated with an R on the map) and have the volunteer radio for help. If your team cannot make it to a checkpoint, use your whistle to let other teams know of your position. If a team hears a whistle, it must stop to help, and will receive bonus time. Whistles are to be used for emergencies only.

Racers must wear a certified bike helmet while on their bikes.

Racers must wear a US Coast Guard Approved floatation device while paddling.

Race numbers must be visible at all times. Exception: your life vest may cover your number while kayaking.

Race Directors reserve the right to issue time penalties, give bonus time or disqualify teams that violate these rules.

Racers must stay on designated course where marked.

Anyone dropping out of the race must immediately notify a race official.
